Once you have set up the "Progress Note Approval" feature in the Portal, you might want to know more about how to use it. Follow the guide below for more details on how it works. 








1. When you have enabled "Progress Note Approval", the analyst will see the screen below on their dashboard. In particular, they will see a "Progress Notes" section like the one noted by the red arrow below. 



2. Once you've navigated down to this section, you will see a list of progress notes waiting for approval like the ones listed in the red box below. 



3. Now you will have the option of selecting each progress note one-by-one or view all of them at once by clicking on the first empty box next to "clients". You will also notice the options to view, approve, or reject the progress notes. 



4. If you choose to view all of the progress notes listed at the same time, check the empty box next to "clients" and click on "view" next to "Bulk Actions". 


5. Below is a sample of what you will see when you select the option to review all of the progress notes all at once. Here you will be able to review the details of each progress note and decide whether or not you approve or reject them. 



6. When you are ready to either approve or reject the progress notes, click on either one of those two buttons (accept or reject). Please note that if you are reviewing the progress notes on a one-by-one basis, you will want to select the approve or reject buttons located to the far right of the screen for that particular progress note. 



7. If you see that the progress notes are in good order and you decide to approve them, it will add the supervising analyst's signature to them in the system. However, if you reject them, a pop-up will appear. Here you will enter the reason(s) why it was rejected and what should be fixed.



8. When you reject a progress note, the therapist will see a notification on their dashboard alerting them that the note was rejected along with the analyst's comments. Once the therapist makes the suggested changes to the progress report, it will be sent back to the analyst for review once again.
